A Peak Behind the Scenes of The PLAN Plan

Creating a proven weight loss program that delivers results for life is easy for someone who’s helped people get healthy for almost 2 decades.

 

But, it’s naming that program that’s hard.

 

My program is called, The PLAN Plan.

 

I love the name, but I’ve had marketing experts tell me to find a different one.

 

I’m willing to consider it, but I haven’t landed on one that fits yet. It has to be catchy and not too cutesy.

 

The PLAN Plan name was born from an acronym. PLAN is really P.L.A.N. and stands for Plan, Log, Accept, kNow.

 

It represents my 3 pronged approach to sane sustainable weight loss: Structure, Knowledge and Compassion

 

Plan, Log = Structure

Acceptance = Self-Compassion

kNowledge = well, Knowledge

 

I like the way it encapsulates the whole plan in one word.   Very satisfying.

 

But . . .if you have to take this long to explain it, it probably needs a different name.

 

A smarty once wrote, a rose by any other name would smell as sweet.

 

So while I fret about the title, check out the sweet smell of the proven program centered around 3 key principles: Basic Structure, Core Knowledge and Essential Self-Compassion.

 

 

BASIC STRUCTURE focuses on the practical parts of the program. 

  • The basics of the weekly planner system
  • The magic of food logs
  • The importance of the timing of your meals
  • Strategies for planning meals out and while traveling

 

All this is designed to get you results in the most painless and intuitive way possible.

 

CORE KNOWLEDGE introduces concepts vital to continued success and sustained weight loss 

  • How and why to use environmental control in your home and while you’re away
  • The usefulness of the hunger scale to intuitively control portions
  • Learn why protein is your best friend
  • How 3 questions can stop overwhelm in its tracks

 

Incorporating these tactics into your daily life creates habits that safeguard your weight loss.

 

ESSENTIAL COMPASSION emphasizes the emotional side of weight loss.

  • Learn how to deal with uncomfortable feelings without food
  • Prioritize filling your life with fun and meaning
  • Discover the importance of making kind, conscious decisions
  • Practice self-forgiveness

 

Mastering these techniques allow weight loss to feel good and last forever.

 

One lesson is presented each week for 12 weeks—by practicing the techniques weekly, you hone your skills and incorporate healthy habits into your day and life. You’ll feel even more confident about food choices and party situations with each passing week.

 

The PLAN Plan course teaches sane, sustainable weight loss. It takes planning your week, knowing what works and learning to be kind to yourself in the process. And I’m gonna be with you every step of the way.
