Ep 8: The Scale
Friends, we’re going back to the basics in this episode, and there’s nothing more basic in weight loss than the scale. The bathroom scale, that is. Now, don’t panic at the sight of that word. I want you to go into this remembering that many of the tools that come along with weight loss have been vilified due to how they’ve been used in the past. While it may bring up some uncomfortable emotions for you, I’m here to tell you it does NOT have to be that way, and we can heal your relationship with the scale and use it for good.
Diet mentality is set up in a way that tends to be punishing, difficult, and unsustainable. It’s easy for so many of us to get caught up in it, and unfortunately, the scale did too.
We’ve used the scale for so long to judge ourselves, and determine our self-worth and success. We’ve given so much of our power away to this, and I’m here to help you take your power back, and remind you that this hunk of metal is really just a tool. A tool that we can use to help us collect information, information that we can use to guide us along our journey.
