Ep 12: No "Bad" Foods
Let’s talk about how we’re THINKING about our food, and how those thoughts can make a big impact on your weight loss journey.
The idea that a food is “bad” and should therefore be avoided at all costs, sets you up for a shame spiral, particularly when it’s a food you actually enjoy. We don’t want to set ourselves up for shame and judgment by labeling foods as either “good” or “bad”.
So, on this episode, I want to challenge you with the thought that there is actually no such thing as “bad” food or “good” food. There is only food, and how it makes us feel. We need to switch the focus to how does the food makes us feel?
Learning to use your body as the barometer will serve you so well, in getting pregnant, in eating when you are pregnant, post-partum, and then forevermore.
When we take away that label, we're opening up all foods, we're getting calmer about our decisions and we're getting curious about what's happening in our body when we eat all foods. This will serve you well my friend.
