Ep 13: The Best Way to Make Progress in Weight Loss
It’s easy to feel discouraged on your weight loss journey when you aren’t seeing the progress and results you desire immediately. But that’s just not how weight loss works.
You lose weight if you do things differently than you’re doing now, little by little. Seeing progress with weight loss is not immediate gratification like say, winning the lottery, it's more like working your way up the corporate ladder.
Seeing progress with your weight loss journey truly comes down to two things: your willingness to try new things, and evaluating the things you’ve tried.
The goal is sustainable weight loss. Sustainable weight loss happens with incremental progress toward your goal. Developing the skills of progress – trying different things and evaluating their results – naturally leads to positive change and becomes part of who you are.
So, it’s time to approach your progress a bit differently. Go out and try things, and then evaluate what worked, what didn't, and what you're going to do differently. You will see progress every time you do this.
