Ep 52: Urges -The Key to Food Freedom

In the last episode, we talked about changing habits, and that even when we’ve seen great progress and experienced benefits from the changes, our brains still like to offer us those old habit thoughts…they feel like urges to go back to what we were doing before. 

This episode is all about how to deal with those urges when they arise because, believe me, whether we like it or not – they will! But just because the thoughts come up, doesn’t mean we have to obey them, especially when we know they’re no longer serving us.

Tune in as I break down why it is SO important and useful to understand what urges are, and how to transform them from feeling like they are all-consuming direct orders…to an easily ignored suggestion.

This work is how we develop the skill of being around our favorite foods, and NOT feeling out of control. Managing our urges is one of the main tools we can use to get true freedom around food!
